I can't believe you haven't read a book at some point that you can mention. Whether you like reading or not, it's a fact of life.
Now go ask your parents to take you to the library. Shameful, that you're not already a book lover at your age.

Holes by Louis Sachar. You've probably seen the movie, and it follows the story pretty closely except that Stanley Yelnats is a fat kid in the book. Don't forget, it's Camp Greenlake, and they have to dig holes to build character while avoiding yellow spotted lizards. He got there b/c he supposedly stole shoes, but it was just bad luck and a misunderstanding. Claim it as your favorite book. In fact, you might be able to take your favorite movie and work backwards, looking it up online to see if it was a book first....just a devious suggestion....if you're so determined to avoid reading, you will have to be so clever. Aquamarine and Hoot are two new ones you may have seen. Both are good books, but I haven't seen the movie!

How about Harry Potter by JK Rowling? Who in the world hasn't read that by 7th grade? You can find enough online to muddle through.
If you don't like reading, then you haven't found the right genre for you yet. Go to the library or bookstore and look through till you find something that you like. There is nothing quite like a good book.

Heh. At least she's good. Trying to bribe us with 10 points.
Don't you think the teacher will be asking some questions about your favorite book. Next summer you might want to pick up a book. It's good for you.

I'm sure you have a favorite book - look on your bookshelf.
One from last year should work ok, the teacher probably doesn't expect his/her students to do much reading, if any, over the summer.
