You should read Al Franken's The Truth. You are right on point with his theory. (Actually, it's a proven fact so it isn't a theory is it?)

definite. I believe you that Republicans are milking this worry subject for all it somewhat is nicely worth! I advise, get intense. how a lot of you somewhat have faith that George Bush has single-handedly prevented us from being attacked returned by utilising Al Qaeida? With the sheer sort of Islamic fascist-types walking around freely in our united states of america, we could be hit at every time and everywhere. all the PR is released in time to make Bush and the Republicans look solid.

I recently watched a clip from Keith Olbermann where he compiled some news footage, calling it the "Nexus of Politics and Terror".
Like he says up front, just because one event takes place and it is followed by another shortly afterwards doesn't mean that the two are connected, but neither does it disprove the opposite.
This is pure Fascism, nothing less.

Man dont be a tard.
You are probably one of the fools that complained after 911 that the government did not do/know enough to prevent it. I am not scared, there is no hint of a police state, and I am grateful of the actions of those in the government.
Would you really want a leader that would be elected telling you all is fine, and we need not worry about security. My guess is that you are very young and ignorant to reality.

50,000 people in the U.S. die each year from car accidents, but there's no proposal to change the safety requirements of cars.
20,000 people in the U.S. are murdered each year, but the Repub's have actually cut anti-crime programs.
700,000 die of heart disease, by no one is proposing spending en extra $200,000,000 a year on finding a cure.
500,000 die of cancer, but Bush vetoed the stem cell bill.
3000 died five years ago from an attack by nineteen guys with knives, and we increase the military budget by nearly $500,000,000 a year.
Fear keeps the Republicans in power, and makes their corporate buddies rich at the same time. And if it isn't fear of terrorists, it's fear of gays or immigrant or flag-burners.
Let's keep our eye on the ball, America.

As I recall, it was FDR who decided to round up all Asians living on the west coast and put them in internment centers. And the Democrat-dominated Supreme Court gave it their approval.
