Libra is the only inanimate sign of the zodiac, all the others representing either humans or animals. Since I am one, I can tell what I know from personal experience. We are always trying to find a balance, but we rarely achieve this goal for any length of time. Some of us may have a "dark-side" but in my experience when I was called dark and evil it was totally unfounded and I had done nothing to deserve it. The one thing I do know about libra men, is that we love Love, and love to be loved. We will usually try to be what the other person wants. That said; we will be strong minded and stubborn or even agressive if that is what is desired and wimpy push-overs if that is what our lover wants. We're sort of shape-shifters when it comes to the love department.
We love intellectual stimulation, we are suckers for good poetry and literature, we love opera and are ardent about drama (both on the stage and in real life). We are often highly sexed, and we are the kind to enjoy all sorts of experimentation. Supposedly we have tremendous trouble being faithful. I think this may be true because we certainly don't have a problem falling in love with more than one person. Curiously I find I have always been upfront about this and I have always been faithful to the person that I was with in a relationship. I think it depends - I could certainly see myself falling in love with someone else, but I would not choose to act on it, because she absolutely does love me heart and soul and I wouldn't want to risk losing that.
We are passionate about justice and fairness too so maybe that's where it comes in, while I want to be self centered and ask permission for it - I can't bear the thought of being unfair to my partner. Maybe i'm too narcissistic to accept that kind of hippocracy in myself - who knows? I don't think we are all good looking, we are average, but we often take a little time to try to clean up. We are terrible housekeepers, and we do spend hours just thinking and being intense and brooding and yes we make pretty good Goths - even if we don't have on hand stapled to our foreheads. One thing that sometimes surprizes us is our own honesty. We respect the truth as much maybe as love. We are good talkers, and can turn on charm and charisma at will, seeming for a moment to become "walking sex" but that effect sometimes has a short half-life. Most of us can sense a potential sexual encounter just by paying attention to the focus of the other persons attention; we can also avoid it so diplomaticly that the other person may not even realize they've been turned down, or around and pointed at someone else. We are manipulative and can sometimes be hyper-analytical. We are also mirrors. We love to dance and are often musical or enjoy singing. Sometimes we do things like dropping names, or play petty popularity games and then afterwards despise ourselves for it. In private moments we face crushing insecurity and depression. We tend to see our faults and forget our qualities, which gives the illusion of humility.
