If your alternative to home schooling is attending a public school, you - hands down should stick to home schooling. Even if you don't like it now, when you graduate you will be able to see the difference, and it will benefit you greatly. You will need to make some compromises somewhere, your education is the most important. Because you will NEED THAT.
If your alternative is a private school, then I would go with that, because being around people you dislike helps you to learn how to deal with these people when you get older. There will always be jerks, the sooner you learn how to deal with them, the easier your life will be in the future. It is never easy growing up. Good luck!

You will miss out on a lot of activities if you don't go to school. There are always going to be people in life you have to deal with that you don't want to but in the long run you'll be glad you went. If you're interested in basketball the best place for that is High School. You might even get a scholarship! Your dad is right but he should also want you to go to school for many reasons, not just basketball. You need to be around people your own age. Good luck !

I'm in 8th grade too and there is always going to be people you don't like you just have to learn to deal with them. That's what I do. I just try my best to ignore them. Also do you want to do basketball and dance? If not tell your parents that you don't I don't think they'll get mad at you. My mom wanted me to do singing this year but I told her I didn't want to and she said ok. And if you what to shotting gaurd then you should.

I wouldn't worry about sports, I'd worry about getting an education first. Unless you are super great at basketball it will not support you when you get older - and even then, an injury could end your career in a heartbeat. Learn to read, write, and do some math...then get training at college or elsewhere for a job you enjoy and - if basketball or dance take you places - enjoy that you are a one-in-a-million talent. 99.95% of us do not end up sports stars, dancers, singers, or movie stars. We are regular people with 9 to 5 jobs, and chances are you will be, too. Good Luck!

You have to decide on this yourself. Make a list with the Pros and Con's about : Going to a public/private School , And one for Home Schooling. Then make your own choice. We don't want you blaming any one for making it for you. What are you doing to do when you have a job in the future? Not go to work because you don't like your boss or the people at your job! This is life, you have to make the best of everything! Good Luck.

You go back to school at all cost! Whether or not you like anyone or not-school is not about making friends but getting an education! And that is the most important thing to do! Good luck being an shooting guard..everything you do in school and for the school should make you proud of yourself and your parents....Be all that YOU can be....Good luck..education is richer than dancing across floors!

School is really not that bad, sure there are some dumb kids but it can be so much fun and to add basketball fun. Don't worry you'll be one of the cool kids in school just because of the game. Forget about the other kids in your class, you're not there for them, you are there to learn and play ball.

Most schools will work with home schooled kids to let them participate in sports also. You might want to check that out or you may want to check out a recreational league to play basketball on so you can do both.

I would go back to school because you have a chance at getting better and better at basketball. Who knows you might still play basketball in high school and then maybe get a scholarship for college if you are still playing basketball.
