Fishes breathe in water, not like us, on land. It's not feeling excited but calling for help. It stops jumping cos' it is tired and may die soon if continued. You can try for yourself, throw youself into the middle of the deep pool, and stay there under water to see what will happen. Will you struggle cos' you feel excited or trying to call for help? I think you should not do this cos' they are life too. I hope you will look after it with care not just because it costs you 20 dollars. To me, life is priceless cos I did lost my dog last year, still remember and cried everytime I think of him.

Are you serious? Fish don't need "fresh air"! If you took it out of the water it was flapping around because it COULDN"T BREATHE!!! I really hope this is a joke cause if not you are one DUMB chick!

Okayyyy let think...fish live in water. Don't ever hold in hands for fun. Your fish gets his oxygen through water. He was flapping around deperate for his breath. The oils on your hands are harmful for the fish.

Fish do not breath like you do.
Fish get the oxygen from the water..
You might have sufficated it by keeping it out of water too long.

what are you? 4? who the heck doesn't know that a fish can't breathe out of water????!?!?! jeez- your ridiculous!!!!!! THE FISH WAS FLAPPING AROUND BECAUSE IT WAS SUFFOCATING, NOT DUE TO EXCITEMENT!!!!
i recommend that you give the fish to some one who knows what they are doing and never get one again...
