They are cleaning/scraping out particle of food that are stuck in their mouths (flakes sometimes stick to the sides of the mouth without being swallowed)

They are getting the tiny crumbs of food off the bottom that sink before they can eat them .this is entirely normal ..fish do this all the time when they are hungry tip don't feed it so much feed it only what it can consume in 1 minute

Goldfish is cute, pretty and attractive which I cannot deny but, don't you know that they will eat anythings and everythings that they can find as food? Don't worry, it normal cos they are just looking for something to eat. But don't overfeed them, they will always look hungry ever though they are full.

hmmm mine do the same thing to me it seems like they grab it get the food particles off of it then they spit it back out. funny huh

i think it is to get any food off of the rocks it could also be the salt
