Get help first. Counseling, with or without your husband. Save the marriage if it is worth it.
But more important, figure out what happened, so you don't just make the same mistakes with a different man.
Above all, don't get invoked with your friend until, and unless, you are completely out of the marriage

You could divorce your husband and marry this new guy. Or you could check and make sure that your friend feels the same as you. Or you could work out what you have with your husband since you did marry him. You're probably just wishing that your husband does the same thing as your friend.

Don't be too hasty in taking on another man. The husband you are bound to is where your mind should be, try to mend whatever the problems are. Another man and relationship may look like a fun place to go, but will only lead to pain and more problems.

Men are basically the same the world over..Just because he's a great guy when you are already married to someone else...doesn't mean it would be the same if you were with him...it's called...courting...I'm sure when you were dating your now husband he was SO nice, sweet to you...wasn't he?

Read the details of your question again... you seem to know what you want and what you think will make you happy. If your marriage is truly over, you owe it to yourself and your husband to move on and not keep dragging out the misery.

The idea of something is often better than the real thing.
Some old dudes like the young ladies -- ring or no ring.
How did they get that old and single -- dog or chump.

respect your vows. try counseling. you married him cause you saw something in him. take a breath, just you and him, and see if you can rekindle it. i'm not a holy roly by a long shot, but sometimes god throws men in our path to see what we will do at the hard times. this may be what this is

You should pose this question to every single man you know. I hope your husband made you sign a prenup.

If you aren't happy then you should either get help or get divorced and date the single guy.
