The Muppet Show is not Sesame Street! It has very adult humor, most of the jokes go over kids heads. My oldest gets them now that he's 17. But my younger two don't get the jokes, it's just a bunch of funny characters.

It was aired during prime time. Prime time shows aren't necessary suitable for children, regardless of which channel/station they are aired on.
