Ok, first off, take a deep breath in, and exhale.

Good, now, when you say vomited, I am assuming a large ammount of breast milk or a kind of mucusy stuff was thrown up?
if it was slimy and looked like mucus, no worries, it is just his sinuses kicking into gear and a bit of drainage upset his tummy.

his tummy grumbling loudly is either gas, or he is hungry.
for gas I reccomend some mylacon drops, they are safe for babies of all ages.

Remember, he is not that old, so, dont freak if he spits up a bit.

Vomiting is a whole lot of milk, usually about 2 to 3 ounces depending on babys age and food intake.

spit up can be an ammount between a teaspoon full and an ounce.

Ceck your diet since he is nursing, back off of greasy food, spicy food, fast food, real gassy foods such as broccolli and cauliflower are bad for upsetting babys tender tummies.

If he shows signs of hunger or thirst let him nurse as often as he wants.

Remember to burp well after feedings, any trapped air bubbles will make him throw up.

He may have a condition known as reflux, where the valve in the stomach does not go down all the way.
A helpful hint for this is after feeding, have the baby in an upright sitting position for 30 minutes, this allows the stomach to settle a bit.

If he still refuses to latch on for 2offered feedings, seems lethargic (over tired)
continues to vomit or begins to have very thin watery stools,
Call his pedatrician IMMEDIATLY!!

Hi

First of all tummy pains called colics are normal for babies until age of 4 months. So I would not worry about that.
If you are positive that your baby did not eat any other food apart from your breast milk then it is not any kind of poisoning or anything like that.
They usually vomit only of they overeat. My son is 9 months now, but we went through all that. He vomited too, and that was because he ate too much and then the diaper belt part pressed on his tummy when I picked him up so he puked a little.
Anyway, to cut the story short - do not overfeed the baby and do not worry.

My baby did the same thing at about 9 days old. I freaked out too. Does the baby seem to be in pain, uncomfortable? If not and it is milk that he is spitting up not stomache bile, If you are feeding him breast milk via a bottle try a slower nipple . Our baby was getting the milk too fast, we tried a slower nipple after spending 2 days in the hospital. But I would only try this after going to the Dr. It is always better to be safe.

My baby did this for the first 3-4 months of her life. It is more then likely reflux. Try laying him on his belly for about a half hour after he eats. This tends to help with digestion, and will keep all that acid from coming up. Also, try burping him more. You can also give him mylanta to help. Talk to your doctor before you do this to get dosages and make sure it is fine with them before trying this. Try burping him every few minutes if he's bottle fed. Sometimes babies that are bottle fed swallow the milk faster, and along with it, air, which is what causes the access gas and acid to back up. Talk to your doctor anyway, just to be sure. They will probably want to see him just to be sure there isn't something else going on.

Is it actual vomit or his he just spitting up? It's normal for babies to spit up, all of them have some level of acid reflux. If he is vomitting, make sure he stays hydrated and if it keeps up, call your ped. If he's just spitting up, then you need to see if it is causing him pain or not. If he's in pain, then you may have to alter your diet. There may be something in your BM that isn't agreeing with him. That's pretty normal too. Think about what you've been eating. If changing your diet doesn't help, then some peds will give infants zantac to help them. I'm not sure I believe it works but both my kids were on it. In any case, I would recommend calling your ped (tomorrow if it's not an emergency or tonight if you feel it is) and discussing it with him/her. Don't be afraid to call them. It's what they are there for and they are used to it!

I would give him an ounce and burp him, it sounds to me like he has gas bubbles. If that doesn't work, try mylicon drops. You can find them at any drug store. I had to use these with my kids. It just breaks up the bubbles in their bellies. Good luck

Sounds normal but if he gets to where he won't eat you should take him to see the doctor. It's never good when a child doesn't eat and you don't want him getting sick.

All babies throw up all the time. Nothing to worry about, their stomachs are just new.

I'm sorry, but for the life of me, why are you asking us? Call your baby's pediatrician!
