I think that totally depends on where you live and your expenses.
My hubby is 42 and makes about $65K. That seems like alot, but not if we still lived in our native SoCal-- where the median home price is about $550K.
And we have a ton of medical bills (I had cancer, daughter has Crohn's disease), so that $65K gets spent pretty fast. We drive old cars, but paid off, don't take expensive vacations and own a 3 bedroom home. Not extravagent, but we are happy and glad to still all be here together.

I don't work anymore but when I did I was a Retail Store Manager and I was 26 and I made 35,000 yearly plus bonus. My husband is 27 and makes 60,000 as an Assest Protection Regional Manager.

You mean, a 30-year-old should make $30,000.00 per year? I never heard that one. I know a lot of people who are either way over, or way under, but no one right on the money!

They were equal years ago, but no more. I've just gotten increasingly aged, and I can't keep my income abreast with my age. God Bless you.
