It could be a prelabor sign.
Sounds to me like the baby is moving down further into the pelvic area putting more pressure on the intestines, causeing them to have the urge to empty.

Being tired is your bodys way of saying that you need the energy to cope with the upcoming arrival of the baby.
This is definatly a prelabor sign.
It could be anywhere from a day or two to maybe a couple of weeks.

I know with my 1st one, about 3 days before his arrival, I could not stay awake for anything.
I slept all day and all night for like 2 days.

Each pregnancy is differant, what happened with one, may not happen with another.

Good luck!

Most likely you have developed Irritable Bowl Syndrome. It sometimes happens with pregnancy and the only real treatment is to change your diet in the hopes of figuring out what is currently causing it.

True, you couls also take meds for it, but that might hurt the unborn baby. So you should probably listen to your doc, or go get a second opinion.

BTW, if it is caused by the pregnancy, it will most likely end after it as well.

Just be glad that it isn't the kind that comes with constipation. THAT one REALLY hurts....

Oh, and if you are close to term, then it most likely is your body trying to get rid of everything in preperation for the newborn....

Depends on what type of bowl movements you are haveing, if runny and smelly like blood get to the ER. If regular color and firmer you may be ok just drink alot and eat.
Also wash your hands with soap and warm water after every bathroom visit make sure if anyone else gives you food or dink that their hands are clean, it is very easy to pass germs and right now is a bad time.
Another possibility is your body could be getting ready for labor, have you noticed any other symptoms such as diziness, heart palpataions if so contact your dr again.
Please take care of yourself you be the judge of how you are feeling if you don't feel right call your dr again.

When I went into labor with my 2nd child, I had similar problems (although I didnt with my first or third). My doctor also told me that it was a sign that labor would begin soon. Sure enough, after about 5 days of it I went into labor at 37 weeks. It's miserable, and I totally sympathize with you. But just look at it this way, soon you will have a gift that makes it all worth it.
Good Luck and Congratulations.

it means you're close to delivery. your body flushes to prepare for the birthing. you may not have had to go as much with your first because that was all the body needed to flush. the same thing happened with my mom. my sister came that week. i hope this may have assured you and god bless you an your baby.

I would have to say it is the pregnancy. Women react differently to pregnancies so I'm sure it has to do with that.
