Let's see...
25 1's
then there are 2 by 2's there are 16 of those (just locate the center points)
then there are 3 by 3's (9 of them) (locate the center squares)
then there should be 4 4 by 4's (locate the center points)
and of course one 5 by 5 (obvious, but locate the center square just for consistency)
