Well if you want something quick I'd suggest just about any of the Calvin and Hobbes books by Bill Watterson but if you are looking more for short stories Mark Twain has a lot of good ones. Most of the novels I've read and found humorous are not strictly humor but humor supports it. Anyhow these are the novels I'd suggest.
1. Cosmiccomics by Italo Calvino -- Truely humorous but makes u think too astronomy theories in there
2. Franny and Zooey by J D Salinger -- Well Salinger is Salinger his characters are charming and very humorous though they may deal with serious things
3. Brave New World by Aldous Huxley -- Science fiction futuristic with a humorous twist If 1984 was a comedy this would be it

Dave Berry's books are great. In addition to books of his humor column, he has written at least two novels. One is Big Trouble, which they made a movie of.
Happy reading
