I actually learned Cosmo while IN high school... my high school was a magnet program high school. You had the choice between getting your certificate in cosmetology, nursing, culinary, computers, or mechanics by the time you graduated high school. It was pretty cool. That's what you went to school for and learned everyday. You had your regular classes after your program class. No one in the school *didn't* have a program that they were in and we all wore different uniforms to tell each other apart from program to program.

For me it was the first 6 months or so of school.
You have to learn how to hold your tools right and as an adult that thought she knew how to hold sissors right I was ssoo wrong.
I haven't been in the industry very long, so right now it's learning new things, and getting out there into a salon that has been the most challangeing. Good luck in the industry!!!

for me, it was the chemicals (I developed contact dermatitis from my very first perm)...

also, standing all day, difficult customers on occasion...building a good steady clientele (or you will starve during the slow months)...

it was a fun job though...

ps: I don't know what state you are in, but to my knowledge, you need to finish high school first...
