Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one with this problem.

.. I'm pretty friendly and outgoing and nice; but I don't have many friends because I'm scared of hanging out with them. Constantly if someone at school asks me to hang out, I always think "What if it gets boring? What if I have nothing to say? " and I get really worried and usually end up saying I have other plans.

Does anyone else have this problem?

I'd really like to overcome it because I want closer friends but I'm just scared for some reason.

I understand what you feel. I have been through that phase in life.

Relax just look at your positives and keep that smile on. Sometimes it is just important to be besides a friend and listen.

Best of luck.

hey jenna,
it is not at all necessary that u have to keep talking if u hang out with ur friends.all u have to do when u go out with them is to be present among them.enjoy ur time with them.try it out sometime and maybe ur friends will understand ur problem much better and they might help u get out of ur fears, but never tell anybody whom u don't trust abt things like this.u can even take the help of ur parents.and i'm telling u again, don't get scared of ur friends coz u r in a world where no one cares for those who r not courageous and carefree.so be happy.if u actually see ,u don't have a problem at all.so be happy,ok?
good luck.
hope i was of some help to u.

Let your stronger part overcome your weakness...
Trust me !!! this not a difficult thing to do, its looks difficult untill-unless you do it..
so just go for it, tell yourself that you won't let yourself down..
Best of luck dear...

You are an introvert.

At times better change your attitude and become an extrovert.

Come out of shyness and become talkative.

You need not do this at all times.

You must learn to change your self to changing times and situations.

There's nothing wrong with being sort of a lone wolf. When the time is right for you to join in with others, you'll know it.
