as in i let the littlest things get to me. For say copying what i do and lieing about it,. But the biggest thing is i love this boy and he lives in alabama and im in illinois and people say we wont last and all this crap about our relationship and i let that get to me and it ends up effecting me and him. Can i get some advice on how to deal and ignore situations like that? thanks.

Just act like those people don't exist. When someone says something childish or immature to me, I just ignore them because they don't deserve my acknowledgment.

I know where you are coming from... I am dating this wonderful woman that lives in Texas and I am in Illinois.. We have been together for about a year now, and going strong. The thing about our relationship is that it is very open. We are together, but we can date other people.... I know that it sounds strange, but it is great. She loves me, and I love her. When I do go see her, and I have caught her chillin with some guy, she ran straight into my arms and told the guy that he could go home. As for ignoring dumb people, you have to let that kind of stuff roll off your back. Laugh at whatever they say, then what can they do?

It's really up to you. Why do you care about what people say? Easier said than done. Out of sight, out of mind. If these people are your friends they will support you no matter how wrong they think you are. They will let you learn the mistake no matter what. What ever advise people give you, the ending decision is totally up to you. If you've made a mistake learn from it.

Stay strong Homegirl. I'm in the Midlands(402) and my soon to be Husband is in Jamaica. I know how you are feeling. People always got something to say about what my husband could be doing and so what fourths. Let me tell you something, you know your man better than anyone else. You know how you feel about him and he feel about you. I use to let people's words get to me but, now I laugh at them and say " You Don't Know About Us" There's a lot of haters out there so watch your back! Good luck to you!

remember sticks and stones will break my bone words will never hurt me unless u let them and girl I meet this guy 15 years ago and everybody said we would not make it because we are so different ( only on the outside) we have the some outlook on life and values we go at it different and that make the world see us different what is your inside values and dreams close you ears to the outside noise because that is what it is unless you choice to make it something to listen to Good Luck hope you never get use to people lieing to you that would mean you feel it's no big deal

just act like they didn't say anything. i't kinda dumb to let what other people say affect you.. if everyone said you had bad style then would you get rid of all your clothes and buy uncomfortable ones.. I shure woulden't.. all they want is for you to be misserable so pay no attention because if you realy like a person don't let other people get in your way besides there probably jelous!!!!

It wouldn't bother you if you didn't harbor your own secret doubts. We only take things personally when we feel some sort of connection to what "they" believe. While it's normal to feel sad if someone is personally attacking you. To then take that home and let it fester..means you have given some credence to what they said.

the way i see it is just try to ignore them and if that does not work then just sit there and listen to them but don't do what they like say they tell you to dump him DONT do it if you love him. thats all i can say so best of luck to you. and keep your head up.
