i know what you're going to say... "LSD makes you go insane, it's bad for you etc. etc."

do you think that the reason LSD is so dangerous (not that you can even really get it anymore) might be because the federal government banned LSD research? do you think that 40 years of research may have made it safer, and easier to use for the benefit of peoples' consiousness?

LSD and similar substances are still plentiful on the street and in the woods. The real danger was to the pharmaceutical companies. They couldn't patent the mushroom, so they couldn't pretend to do 'research' and then charge exorbitant prices for them. Same thing with LSD. It is really not that difficult or expensive to manufacture, and the huge scares were mostly based on LSD causing horrible birth defects. The real culprit was the stricnine (rat poison) used in processing.

As a person that has taken many trips, maybe as many as a 100. The answer is no. It is of no benefit medically however it is great recreational.
