Anyone else take Brewers Yeast supplements?

If you do...do you know of any side effects? Particularly gastrointestinal. Also why do you take it and is it working for you.

I take Brewer's Yeast in the powder form in Juice on the recommendation of Adelle Davis.
May cause some indigestion or gas at first - if so start with small doses and increase as tolerated.
