Ojeda's Mexican Restaurant. It's located off of Maple St. near the North Dallas Toll Way downtown. It's been around for over 30 years and is family owned. It's true Mexican and I highly suggest it. mmmm i am craving it now.

Abuelo's - Mexican food embassy was voted #1 in consumer reports. I have to agree. It is good but slightly pricey

I really like El Finex also. It is the original Tex-Mex restaurant in Dallas

Iron Cactus Mexican Grill and Margarita Bar
1520 Main St
Dallas, TX 75201
(214) 749-4766

I ate there back in June and it was pretty good. I am from Houston and we have THE BEST Mexican/Tex-Mex food in the nation, so we are spoiled here. If you ever get down to Houston, you HAVE to eat at Chuy's (its the best).

Nuevo Leon's Mexican Restaurant off of Valley View and Josey. 972-488-1984.

Their Enchiladas are to die for.
My favorite dish there is their Ensalada Nieves, it is a huge salad filled with lots of lettuce, tomatoes, tortilla strips, cheese (american), avocado, and yummy strips of grilled chicken, the best part of the salad is there dressing, the dressing is a Cilantro dressing and oh my goodness you can lick that stuff!!

Provecho! (that means Bon Appetit which means have an awesome lunch!!)

Uncle Julio's is amazing!

2 locations in Dallas: Keller Springs and the Tollway, and Lemmon and Douglas. There's also one in Fort Worth.

The fajitas are AMAZING! My personal favorite is the Shrimp Brochette: Jumbo shrimp stuffed with jack cheese and jalapeno and wrapped with bacon and grilled! SO good!

Los Lupes on Trinity Mills & Josey Ln. in Carrollton. The grilled quail is awesome! Pappasito's on Lombary Ln. is also very good.

I will second the suggestion for Uncle Julios. Another good one is Chuy's off Central.
