The mainstream news outlets are good sources if you're looking for news on sports, or finance, or other generally neutral information.

The major weakpoint of the mainstream news outlets is their coverage of the middle east.

Best to see what the people of the mideast are saying themselves, instead of taking CNN's word for it:

Aaahhhhhhhh. The sounds of an intelligent question!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'd NEVER listen to those networks or CBS, NBC, ABC, and more for the REAL NEWS. I subscribe to The Washington Times (NOT the washington post, that liberal rag!!), and I am a member of The Media Research Center (www.MRC.org), and I highly recommend you join, ($30.00 I think may still be). Their whole existence is to expose the lies of the popular and lying media we've named above, and they tell you the lies they've exposed. You'd really enjoy it since you're obviously interested in the truth and not the bullshit!! Also, go to CNSNews.com for some more level headed news, and go to ConservativePetitions.com for some wonderful conservative petitions to sign and fwd to your conservative friends. It is so good to hear from an fellow intelligent / conservative American. God Bless you!!

Watch Faux news and then watch CNN, draw a line down the middle between the two and you will be able to access the truth. Both are bias, but Faux steps over the line many times.

I watch them all depending on what I'm interested in at that time but I prefer Fox news.

I don't watch news on TV. I get it from the Internet. My provider, Earthlink, runs a headline bar across the top of my browser, with stories from AP. I just click on a headline if I see a story that catches my eye.

Definitely Fox News. It makes me laugh when liberals whine that they're so right-wing. What they mean is that Fox actually has one conservative to every liberal and it drives them nuts that conservatives are finally given EQUAL time.
Also love drudgereport.com.

For pure entertainment, I like to watch Fox news and catch O'Reilly and Hannity. There is no such thing as fair and balanced (especially at Fox News), but CNN is the closest to the "real" news that you can get. Fox is wayyyy too biased, but it is funny to watch them try to convince themselves and America that they are real news reporters.

I never watch the Communist News Network. It has too much Jane Fonda influence.

I watch Fox News and I don't know why, I lean liberal and they are anything but fair and balanced. Shepard Smith keeps me watching though.
