Usually people stop when they hit ages that end with "teen", but you should get an exception this year, cuz of what happened last year. Make sure you have fun, cuz next year you'll have to do parties or give out candy for sure. lol rock on! :)

Everyone is different. There is no exact age. Some people mature faster than others and decide that they are too old to trick or treat. I think on average most people stop after 8th grade. My last year of trick or treating was my senior year of high school and I was 18 years old. I was dressed in a really sexy Elvira costume.

In my area, even the high school students go trick-or-treating, but they do it as a group and are trick-or-treating for UNICEF. They collect money for the agency, but everyone gives them candy, too, for being such great kids to go out and do it. So, they get the best of all worlds. They get to dress up still, even though most would think they are too old, they still get candy, and they do a good community service for the Key Club.

You should stop trick or treating at whatever age that when you show up in acostume on someone's porch they call the police. That's a pretty good time.

You can continue to trick or treat as long as you like, but if you think you're too old for it, but still want to celebrate haloween...
it's always fun to scare little kiddies :D
(if you're lucky enough and scary enough, some kids may run away and drop their bag of goodies, you you STILL get to have free candy)

My friends and I went when we were 16 just for fun, but we stopped after that. Now I get to go and take my kids.

I am 40 something, and I continue to celebrate Halloween. I always have candy or trinkets for the little ones, and love to see the adorable costumes.
