No I do not agree with it in general, especially cause my boyfriend is black and from a country that's on the "terror watch list." It hits close to home. At the same time though, it's easy to see why officials would be more wary of people who "look Muslim." That doesn't mean it's right, but isn't it only natural to some extent? All of the terrorists we know of so far (speaking of current events, not history) have been Muslim. So it's sort of a tricky issue that respect.

My proposed solution to that problem would be to apply the harsher security measures to ALL people. Yeah it sucks and it's a pain in the @ss; but I would be willing to put up with it in order to attempt some semblance of equality in treatment on such issues.

But as far as racial profiling on the streets and in general, I think that's just wrong. Period. There's no need for it.

properly executed! i'm in touch by racial profiling. even as Hasidic Jews and White Grandmas start up ramming planes into homes or taking up Beslan gradeschools and raping little ladies so violently with not person-friendly gadgets that they bleed to demise, then come back to me about the religion of Peace.

Look in your prisons today, and see which race has a disproportionate representation within the prison population.

Wouldn't it be safe to assume, then, that if you see a member of that race outside a prison, he'd be more likely to be a bad guy than someone of another race?

Yup, it's prejudice and it's a bad thing... To paraphrase Bill Cosby:

Stay in school
Stay out of trouble
Don't idolize prison culture

No, I don't agree with it. I've been called Osama just because I'm brown. I learned to deal with it and realize that people like that are just ignorant people who will be burger flippers and suffer a horrible life. But, yes some people are influenced by video games, television, and even by their parents.

No, because not all terrorist acts or crimes are committed by people of just one race.

Simple as that.
