i've messed around with the screen resolution in display settings but can't seem to get a clear piccy.

Most of the images you see on the web are very low resolution, so they are only good for the small pics they came from. These are no good for wallpaper on your screen. You just cannot stretch them into something bigger.

Try to find some pic download libraries on the web where the pic resolution is close to that you are using on your Display settings. Then you know it will display correctly and clearly.

if you right click on the desktop and then go to properties then go to desktop you are given the option under position to stretch the wallpaper to fit your screen. You need to make sure you download a wallpaper that matches your screen resolution or it will look distorted. If it is a smaller pic it'll tile or be unclear.

Well, the picture needs to be in the same resolution as you screen. The smallest you can get your screen is 640x480. For good looking pictures, set your screen to 1024x768 and the picture should be 1024x768.

The quality will depend on the size of the image you are trying to set as your background. When you zoom in or make the viewed size larger, it becomes pixelated.

Try images with a very high resolution they appear very well on your screen.
