TIME to join a church

Place an ad in your local paper asking anyone if they have clothes, toys, bouncers, car seats, etc, for sale. They will be second hand but just as good but cheaper than buying right from the store, and you will be able to get more than 1 of everything by having multiple replies by different people for the same thing. Also something else to look into is to post a bulletin on your church bulletin board, or maybe they could even have a special collection for you that people could either bring in their used baby items or they could run a collection plate as well. If you do go through your church then I would make a list of things that you need so that you aren't getting things that you already have and no longer need.

Depending on where you live, you may be able to become a member of http://www.freecycle.org. This is a community that offers things that would normally go into the trash in the hopes that somebody else might want it. The mission of freecycle.org is to reduce the amount of trash going into landfills. It's great!

Unfortunately, it's not available everywhere, but... maybe it should be!

Items for kids are offered all the time! You could literally keep your kid clothed for FREE! It's also a great place to get rid of clothes that your kids grow out of.

I'm on a Wal-Mart boycott, so I'll say Target. Ebay is good, if you don't dress them alike. Consignment stores are good too, like Once Upon A Child.

I have twins, so I know what it's like...did you know Babies R Us, offers discounts for multiples on furniture? Aside from that, buy smart, buy clothes in the off season, like right now summer clothes are all on clearance to make room for fall clothing, so buy summer stuff now in the size they'll wear for next summer. You can virtually end up buying all of their clothes at liquidation prices if you shop in the off season...
Best reagards.

Investigate your local chapter of Mothers of Twins, they often have clothes swaps, or can put you in touch with others who have what you are looking for.

Ebay is good, but if you need things right away, Wal-Mart is a good choice
