I think Elise is a pretty name. I might even spell it Ilyse (that first letter is an i and the second is an L sorry). As for middle names I would say Olivia or Anabella. I would definately use a middle name that starts with a vowel and has at least 3 syllables. Elizabeth and Isabella would be pretty middle names as well.
Some of my favorite girl names are Elle, Brooklyn, Rachel, Abigail, Sydney, Rowan, and Jocelyn. I love picking out names so if you need help feel very free to contact me. Congrats on the new little one :)

I was very close to giving my daughter the middle name Elise. I love it!
Check out the top 20 baby names on Parentcenter.com, then AVOID THEM!!! Don't go too outlandish either. Traditional is still best, but whenever I drop my daughter off at school, I can just say "hey Hannah Emily Madison!" and every girl in the room comes running!

I think Elise is a very pretty name. But this is still your baby and you need to make this decision. If you allow someone else to influence you on what name to give your child, you might not be happy with her name later. Go to www.babynames.com and search the names, look for one that might have a meaning you like, for example, Esther - is Persian it means Star (it is also my daughter's name). Daniel means God is my judge (goes also for Danielle). Depending on where you search Hannah means Gift from God. So look for something you like (I know one lady I went to high school with whose name was Eugenia Elyse Marie and another who was Michelle Elise). Good Luck.

My best friends daughters middle name is Aleese, pronounced the same, just spelled different. I like these girls names: Breeston Patreese, Ketziah Stevoni, Olivia Jodeci,
Kayedith Marrenai, Jadenzi Kyanne. How about Aleighce Nicolette, Aleice or Aliese Nikolette, assuming you are the mother to be, Niki. or if you are more traditional, Elise Nikolette, Elise Nikole

Elise sounds classic and sophisticated. Others spellings sound tacky. Middle name? how about Marie? It sounds like a movie star. V. chic

I like Elise the best. Since you are going with traditional, have you considered Olivia, Lillian, Grace, etc.
My favorite girls name is Kealy.
But my favorite alternate spelling of a name is Lendzi.
Just a suggestion, don't change the name too much - anytime someone has to spell her name she'll have to spell it. One of my friends names is Iby. It's pronounced like Ivy, but confusing as hell to everyone when it comes to spelling it.
