DVD's require a DVD burner and software, so CD burners cannot do it for you.

If you have a DVD burner, you can burn any data, including pics, onto the DVD.

(Of course, you must have a DVD player or computer that can read the type of data you burn on the DVD. Most DVD players can read JPEG format pics.)

Good Luck

You can't burn a DVD on the CD Writer because the device is incompatible with any format that's beyond the CD's maximum capacity (CD holds 700 MB of Data. DVD can go up to 4 GB). Pictures, like other media and files, can be easily burned to a DVD disc.

If you wish to burn anything to a DVD, then it's best to purchase yourself a DVD Writer.

no and yes.

only cd-r and cd-rw discs can be burnt using a cd burner, to burn dvd discs you need a dvd burner.

pictures CAN be burned onto dvds BUT it is a massive waste of a disc because it would take tens of thousands of pictures if not more to fill a blank dvd - picture files aren't that large and blank dvds have alot of storage available.

just burn your pictures onto blank cd-r discs instead - they're a better option and cheaper.

also your cd burning software may give you the option of not just burning the pictures onto a cd, but making them into a 'slide show' too.
