I mean there are people who are dying because they are terminally ill & can't afford medical treatment...there are children starving to death...there is so much poverty in the world and then you've got celebrities like Paris Hilton carrying around $20,000 purses and wearing $5,000 sweatpants. I think dumbasses like her are prime examples of whats wrong with today's society. What do you think???

Ok I used to reason this with "buying those ridiculously overpriced couture outfits benefits our economy and the people who make those outfits" but it just seems like it's gotten out of hand. They get everthing for free and if they do give to charity it is auctioning off a signed t-shirt or something insignificant when they could be giving a million and never feel it's impact. And then they get on tv and complain about how depressed they are and how they are tired of the press following them when they have the ultimate stress tool: adequate finances to never have to worry about paying the electric bill, for a new transmission etc. Get my point?

Yes, those people make me sick..... most of them are low life anyway....... the only time that they get together at Oscar or Grammy time... etc........... it's a big put on ... it is look at me... look at me..... these people are nothing special...

most of these so called want a be stars.... won't even take time to give their fans an autograph. I know how they are, I was in the Movie Business in Burbank California at Warner Bros. for years.

Yes, it does make me sick. Even the goodwill celebrities like Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie who do all that charity work still buy $17,000 pacificers for their kids. It's sickening. But it's the sickness of Hollywood, being thin and wasting money on things that really aren't worth $10,000. I don't really see the difference between my pants and Lindsay Lohan's. (Other than maybe size)

But that's how it is, the rich get richer and everyone else gets to watch on VH1. Sad how they can play these insane shows about how much money celebrities spend, but they can't play one music video.

No, they've earned that money and can spend it how they choose. It actually makes me laugh because even though they buy $5,000 sweatpants, it doesn't make them happy. They break up relationships faster than any other kind of people I know. They have a lot of "fake friends" who are only around them for their money. It's kind of sad, actually.

I guess celebrities' overspending shows the dirty side of captialism. But, that is what it is.

Celebrities aren't doing anything wrong by getting rich. They're selling a product, themselves, just like a company does. If Paris doesn't get rich off of her name, Sony will get rich off of her record sales. And they have hundreds of billions of dollars lying around- yet they lay employees off to save a buck. And world hunger persists.

The issue is bigger than celebrities. Sounds like you're in favor of a socialistic society.

i think that since celebs have money they should donate it to hospitals and stuff. they dont need the extra expensive purses or dresses or tuxes or whatever.

No, it doesn't make me sick. It makes me wonder though. Hell, if I had all that money, I'd spend it like a crazy woman.

you are totally right i think that money should go to places like africa where nutrience doesn't grow.

simple plan-crazy

Tell me what's wrong with society
When everywhere I look, I see
Young girls dying to be on TV
They won't stop till they've reached their dreams

Diet pills, surgery
Photoshopped pictures in magazines
Telling them how they should be
It doesn't make sense to me

Is everybody going crazy?
Is anybody gonna save me?
Can anybody tell me what's going on?
Tell me what's going on?
If you open your eyes
You'll see that something is wrong

I guess things are not how they used to be
There's no more normal families
Parents act like enemies
Making kids feel like it's World War III

No one cares, no one's there
I guess we're all just too damn busy
And money's our first priority
It doesn't make sense to me

Is everybody going crazy?
Is anybody gonna save me?
Can anybody tell me what's going on?
Tell me what's going on?
If you open your eyes
You'll see that something is wrong

Is everybody going crazy?
Is everybody going crazy?

Tell me what's wrong with society
When everywhere I look I see
Rich guys driving big SUVs
While kids are starving in the streets

No one cares
No one likes to share
I guess life's unfair

Is everybody going crazy?
Is anybody gonna save me?
Can anybody tell me what's going on?
Tell me what's going on?
If you open your eyes
You'll see that something, something is wrong

Is everybody going crazy?
Can anybody tell me what's going on?
Tell me what's going on?
If you open your eyes
You'll see that something is wrong
