Hi ,
Go to the tools button in your browzer bar click on it look for the pop up blocker link and click on it so that it is on that should stop all pop ups and keep them from bothering you. Although if that is not enough go to http://www.cnet.com and go to downloads in search put in pop up blockers and look for the free software programs and download anyone of them they all work well and you can read about them prior to the downloads they are also rated. Pop-ups are caused by two things - sites you go to, and adware on your computer.
Ad-aware and Spybot Search and Destroy are two very good and free spyware / adware / malware blasters.
If you're open to it (and I strongly suggest you do) try Firefox - it has a pop-up blocker built in, it's faster, safer, sleeker, more customizable, and there's hundreds of add-ons...

Download the Google toolbar at http://toolbar.google.com/
The google toolbar has a built in pop up blocker that is great!

Use Yahoo! pop up blocker. I was amazed on how many it blocked!
