A college student graduates after earning a four-year (Bachelor's) degree. Any study past that, such as going toward a Masters or Doctorate, is post-graduate studies.

Well, I am assuming here that graduate would be the master's level and post graduate would be the PHD level. For me, I am currently a graduate student going for my master's degree.

I BELIEVE, though am not sure, that post grad would apply to both masters and beyond.
