Ok, i understand to hang out & be cool....not all gushy & stuff, but hang out...where?? that's the part i don't get? where should we be if we want to just say hi to the band..get an autograph, then leave?

it depentds where you are. i go to festivals and the band often has a table where they set up there CD's and such. and then ofent alot of people will go to the back of the stage and wait for them there after they are done playing. but this is in the middle of an open feiled, not in an auditorium. So i dont know exactly what your situation is but basicly, go where the band is. with smaller bands in bars and such If I some times will go up and help then move there stuff out after there done. Helping someone out is always a good way to meet them too. good luck. :)

get to know more people,mostly people who know big people,like get to know a guy who's friend owns a stadium so when bands you like play there you can go see them!It works. My dads friends knows the owner of the bell centre so we always get free tickets
