Depends on the venue. The larger the venue, the tighter the security. The best way to meet the band is BEFORE the gig at soundcheck. This happens at 2pm - 4pm if it is a 7pm show.

After the gig, find the bus or vehicle that the band will be riding in to leave the venue. Place yourself as close as you can to the path that they must use to exit the facility. Familiarize yourself with the building and find out where the bands enter and exit. This will be done by trial and error but eventually it will come easy.

Most of the people that do either have connections or find a way to get backstage passes. Some even fake VIP passes.

Best way, hang around with a bouncer a few WEEKS before the show. Then act like you just found out and sound all exited but don't suggest straight out that you want to go backstage.

I once got to stay back in a show when I told of the security guys that one of the technician guys (knew his name) was meeting me after the show. Mostlikely they don't go find out if it's true or not, it's how I got to meet the band.

Follow the crowd off the stage which nobody realizes is actually very easy to do. Just before the last song and you can always tell when that is, move your way down stage, follow the bands exit which usually always starts with dummers or some keyboard players, you might even notice horn players indescretly backing off stage. Anyway no one will refuse you in the rutcus that will be occurring while the band is still playing!

Honestly, just stick around while people file out the door. Alot of time, especially if it isn't the biggest or most mainstream band band yet, they'll be sidestage or even come out. I met Good Charlotte, MxPx, Rise Against, Tech N9ne, Kotton Mouth Kings, Offspring, and the Horrorpops by doing exactly that :)

Try eye contact ,smile and have good weed. My brother once got on stage with The Band even made it thru a song by just acting like he belong there. I've party with a couple myself.Even smoke with Willie twiced. But my favorite memory of this type is my brother running on peoples heads with a bottle of VO down to the stage and giving Bob Dylan a drink. But the idea of throwing them fine red panties at the guys might just work for a fox like you.

I have been fortunate enough to meet a lot of people. Mike Watt, Perry Ferrel, Rob Zombie, Arlo Guthrie, Metallica, Danzig, Marilyn Manson, Rancid, Bad Religion .....just to name a few. My trick I just didn't act like I wasn't supposed to be there. I never asked for autographs and freaked out. Just chill out and hang out. Remember they are regular Joe's when the make up comes off treat them like it.

I think you'll have to throw some sort of undergarment at the band and maybe yell some sexually explicit language to the lead singer. Good luck!

Get there early and find the tour busses. Make Friends with the crew if possible.
