He actually didn't write "Mein Kampf"; it was ghost-written for him by Hess, one of his underlings.
He was Austrian, not German. He had been what would've been called a "hippie" of that era; he was not exactly a great thinker.
To understand the philosophical basis of his ideology, though, you can turn to Friedrich Nietszche, "Thus Spoke Zarathustra" and the fellow who pushed the idea (in the late 1800's) that "God is dead."

Although many people think that Hitler wrote "Mein Kampf" while in prison, the book was actually "ghost written" by an unknown Jewish scribe, 'though it bears Hitler's name as the author.
However, he did personally write a series of children's books, including:
"I Really Like Green Eggs and Testicles"
"The Gypsy Who Stole Christmas, and How I Made Him Pay"
"Exodus: Revised Edition"
"The '36 Olympics: Was Jesse on Steroids?"
"Moby-Dick and Other Myths about the British Navy"
"How to Win Friends and Influence People"
"Machiavelli Was a Woos"
and
"Chicken Soup for the Crematorium"
All are available on Amazon.nazi.

Adolf Hitler Wrote Mein Kampf (My Struggle) while in Prison follwing the failed 1923 Beer hall Putsch. It became a best seller then and is still available today. Hitler himself said in 1943 it was obselete and he planned to write another book, but never did. Ive read it. its boring, convoluted and difficult to get through.

Technically, he authored the book "Mein Kampf"...but it was actually his rantings dictated to and edited by Emil Maurice while imprisoned in Landsberg, then after July 1924 to Rudolf Hess.
