i think the shrine just further strains japan-china and korea relations. i mean that just the equivalent of honoring hitler and his nazi party of germany. there are 14 class a war criminals in that shrine. and many soldiers that committed brutal atrocities including mass murder, human experimentation, comfort women, death marches, forced labor, preventable famine, chemical and biological warfare and many more

It's pretty ridiculous. I mean, it's like the German prime minister going to visit a Nazi shrine. Then, a lot of people around the world would protest it. But since this is "just" the Japanese prime minister, and it strains only Asian ties, not a lot of people (sadly) around the world care. I think only the Koreans and Chinese know the reasons why they are mad, and the U.S. doesn't want to strain its ties with Japan, which is why it's not doing anything.

Hopefully the next prime minister will have a little bit more sense. Koizumi's term is up this year, I think. And its just not the Yasukuni shrine that annoys me about Koizumi. Dokdo island, claiming various things are theirs which aren't, etc etc. Yuck.

Hope that helps~!

Because the Japanese soldiers themselves were human, there were some who possessed the desire to do wicked to the Chinese and there were some that wished a more peaceful solution to the conflict between China and Japan. Those fourteen class a war criminals qualify in the earlier category. I feel that the Japanese people should commemorate most of the deceased Japanese soldiers of World War II, but the war criminals do not deserve such attention. Bowing down to these individuals is the equivalent of glorifying the name of Adolf Hitler. There have been various petitions from neighboring Asian nations to have the fourteen class A war criminals removed, but Koizumi and various other Japanese politicians have refused to do so. There is quote carved on a plaque that serves sort of as a justification; here's a snippet: "Japan was unwillingly pulled into conflict." Huh...the last I check it was Japan that made the initiative to invade China and Korea...

via fact China and Korea experience that they've been the biggest victims for the period of the Pacific conflict, and that they do no longer incredibly forgive Japan for their conflict crimes. Yasukuni holds the names of all the people who've died conserving Japan which comprise a dozen classification A conflict criminals. the certainty that Japan is now at the instant led by utilising top Wing Idiots, is making distant places kin with China and Korea undesirable, cuz Abe and his team think of they'd do in spite of the fact that they decide for. i think of the Philippines dont could protest, cuz they thoroughly forgave Japan. basically like they are between the sole international locations in Asia who help the rearming of Japan..

I think the Japanese PM should be the Yasukuni shrine. Then he wouldn't have to visit it.
