I modified a couple pairs of my grandmother's earrings by snipping the screw posts off the back and attaching posts using jeweler's glue. I don't wear them very often but the glue has held for three years now.

As a student studying jewelry making, I'd saw off the back as close to the earring as possible, file and sand everything smooth, drill a tiny hole the hold the wire to be used as a post, and use easy solder to solder it in. This is assuming the earrings are completely silver.
On a side note, the screw back is very elegant in its own right, and you can wear such earrings even if you have pierced ears. (I've done it.)

i visit placed non-sterling silver in a unmarried piercing yet no longer in the others. after I placed "undesirable" ones in, my ears were fantastic, yet after I took them out, my ears were truly sore and blew up. they calmed down after some days yet ive by no skill executed it back. the in uncomplicated words time i placed "undesirable"earrings in the piercing that lets me is even as they have sat in one day in the ear care answer. inspite of if ur ears do no longer react, i'd by no skill placed on non-sterling silver or gold earrings in one day or for a lengthy time period.
