Mediation has nothing to do with court, or the appellate process.

Mediation is a private dispute resolution process, where the parties sit down and attempt to work out their differences. The mediator acts as referee and guide, but does not make any decisions. If the parties cannot come to a mutual agreement on a settlement, the mediation terminates.

Since the decision (or not) is entirely up the parties, there is no appeal system, since if they don't mutually agree to the settlement, there is nothing to appeal.
