Women ARE able to join Masonic Lodges, and I am not talking about Eastern Star. I mean full rites, lights and privileges. The Order is called Co-Masonry. We have been around since the 1800s.

Women and men of all races, all religions (in our Order you must believe in a Supreme Being), who are tolerant of all religions, who wish to improve themselves and improve the world meet together about once a month.

We are not a social fraternity bent solely upon fund-raising and conviviality. Fact is, most of us drive or fly many miles to get to Lodge and then turn right around and have to get back home. I belong to two Lodges, each almost 200 miles away from my home. Lots of driving.

We are not a religion but do offer a sense of fellowship in the pursuit of making ourselves fitting vessels for The Light.

Oh, toward your question, we call ALL Co-Masons "Brother," even those with two X chromosomes.

If I can be of more service, feel free to contact me or click on the link below to learn more about American Co-Masonry.

Women are in Eastern Star... it is related to the Masonic Temple/Lodge. Girls are either in Rainbow Girls or Job's Daughters... and boys are in Demolay.

No. 'Mason'... is a non-gender term. It merely means to be a member of the Masons.

I dare you to contact your local freemasons and ask them. But please come back and share with us all, it would be hilarious. They're a dodgy bunch of rolled-up trouser, strange handshake, only if you've got so much money and stature etc etc people anyway. Women would have more sense on the whole than to want to bother with it.
