that's bad, i guess you didn't see it at the time but he's using you as the scapegoat for a credit card fraud operation. often in card fraud the most important piece is an address to drop the illegally obtained items at without risk to the fraudster - in this case you are taking all the risk for him because you are at the address he is using.

sadly nigeria has a very lax attitude to such crimes, hence the insane amount of fraud that goes on, particularily on ebay with these people.

i would agree with the post above, and report it to:

BUT also, if this person is having someone come to your house to pick up these goods as you suggest, or would like to have someone come, they are of course also part of the crime BUT they are committing it on (presumably) american soil?

in this instance, you should contact your local police station, explain the problem and point out that american laws will be broken by the individual picking up the stolen/fraudlent goods from your house and what can you do to have him arrested if arrangements are made for him to come to your house.

it is worth reporting this to your local law enforcement ASAP just so they have it on record, then should you have any comeback in terms of these items delivered to your house, it's all on record as to what happened and it covers your back.

don't forget to 'accept' this answer if it helped.

Don't even click on the emails all scams. They will make money by selling your address to others. You are helping them stay in business. Never answer that junk. If you do you will receive 10 X more and they will stay in business and bother others. Engage brain first OK
They have been reported many times the local goverments theirs are in on it and receive bribes. Mark the emails as SPAM it will go to your bulk folder. If you are in U.S. then forward to: spam@uce.gov
