the salt water is not good for nails. Wait until after you go to the beach.

Salt water won't hurt them. Your skin is slightly salty anyhow.

HOWEVER, you use a nail file on your nails, right? Well, what do you think it's made of? SAND!! Sand is finer pieces of rock and glass, a nightmare for a mani. My advice: hold off until after the beach.

Between the sand and the salt water your nails will be ruined.

Nails....beach? Doesn't make sense to waste money to get stuff ruined when ya go to the beach. I suggest you wait until afterwards to do that stuff.

it might take the polish off if you polish them but i have gotten mine done and went and had no problems - then again i do it with white tips and clear - which you can reapply after the beach - a good nail job is one that you forget you even have on until you look down and admire them

Its not the salt so much as the other ocean substances. Did you know that fish PISS in the water?! That's shark piss eating away your nails.
