Not necessarily. The presence of nitrates generally indicates the presence of bacteria in general, not specifically chlamydia.

A positive nitrite test indicates that gram negative bacteria in the urine have converted nitrates into nitrites. This is usually accompanied with a positive leukocyte esterase test indicting the presence of WBC. The combination is a sign of a gram negative Urinary Tract Infection.

not necessarily. it means you have an infection such as a bladder or kidney infection in most cases. if you had chlamydia, the actual bacteria that causes chlamydia would be found in the urine.
