Monster , Yahoo Hotjobs, Careerbuilder are some of the largest job boards, where you can apply for jobs and upload your resume. Since Craigslist, allows free job postings, many smaller companies post their vacancies on this online classifieds website. You can also search for jobs from multiple websites using aggregators like SimplyHired and Indeed. Referrals are also becoming a increasingly popular way to get hired.

If I'm looking for a JOB, I just go into places and ask to speak with a manager. Newspapers are the WORST place to look for a job because so many people see the ad and apply that it greatly reduces your chances of actually getting it.

I walk into places that don't have "Help Wanted" signs posted. I ask for the owner or manager and ask him/her.... "You don't need any help, do you?" ..... They always say no , so I go swipe a few bags of aluminum cans from the recycling bin behind my neighborhood bar and take them to a local scrap metal dealer. He gives me 43 cent a pound for the cans. Then I take the money and buy a bottle of Crown Royal and go home to my mom's basement and answer questions on Yahoo Answers until I pass out.

Hi there!!

I've tried many different websites for jobs, but www.craigslist.org is the best job search engine I have ever came across. It's laid out very nicely, and is updated daily with new jobs. You can even type your town name in the search box and it will narrow the job listings to your area! Hope this helps! :)
