Movie kicked ***. Nice twilight zone ending where killers end up staying at the house of the people's daughter they just murdered.
According to Joe Bob Briggs, Wes Craven couldn't get the MPAA to give it an 'R' rating. So he spliced the MPAA 'R' rating off another film and added to his to get it viewed.

For 1972 it was a scary scenario. By today's standards I'm sure it sucks.
But to actually turn the tables on your captors and take revenge for them murdering your child is a good plot outline.

it was alright, for awhile after it I wouldn't venture into the woods with strange hippies, even if they had good weed
