Wow, I dont know the answer to your question, but when I was young we lived in Yokosuka Japan and we watched that show all the time, even though it was in Japanese. This is the first time I have ever heard someone outside of my family call him by his Japanese name. Thanks for some prized memories, that really took me back.
Also, as a guitar player, ther are some cool licks in the theme music. Thanks again.
