Here just for illustrative purposes. Could be any religions but let's just say Christianity vs. Atheism.

Alright, my question is why is it that (i.e.) Christian questioners ask questions about Atheism, often more statements than questions, and sometimes even questioning their own faith, will get an array of answers and they will pick the most illogical answer? Some answers may even be by Christians, that back up their answer, but they don't get picked. But could be a simple answer just stating "It is God's will", or "God knows best" or "God is the only true one"? Sure, people can answer that it is in God's will, but how about giving some good evidence at least of their claim (as I said some Christians do give nice insights). They get credit for being single-minded. AND VICE VERSA ofcourse. Is it that they ignore all the answers that make sense? Or are from Atheists? Obviously many try to make people angry, but is it necessary?

By the way, I am not trying to offend anyone.

I am not meaning to offend anyone. Christians, atheists, buddhists, etc,..... The Christian VS Atheism was just for illustrative purposes only, that is all.

it's probably because they don't really want a simple answer to their question. to them the most locigal answer may be the most illogical to you. It depends what your view on things is. they may not imply what you are getting from their question. They pick whatever answer helps them the most.

Like when I've asked about my dog's skin condition?

DUH- I know I should take her to the vet, unfortunately I don't know enough about horticulture to grow a money tree, so what is the second best thing to do??

Maybe next time I ask a "stupid" question about something, a disclaimer like the above may help...

No, I'm not saying that you're calling me stupid, I just feel like the people who tell me to take my dog to the vet 5 ba-zillion times think I'm stupid...

Most people who ask these types of questions alreayd know the answer they're looking for and just want to see other people say it.

Maybe the answer that you think is best wasn't what they were looking for or what they truly agree with...
