Hezbollah - it relatively is a terrorist team that has taken over the southern part of Lebanon - crossed over the Israeli border and abducted 2 squaddies. They then began firing missiles into Israel. In reaction, Israel attacked them lower back. Israel isn't attacking Lebanese objectives consistent with se, different than the area there are conventional Hezbollah bases, or the area they think of of Hezbollah will usher in new weapons from Syria (i.e. Israel bombed the airport in Beirut, as nicely as roads). There have regrettably additionally been some unintended civilian casualties.

I am not a big supporter of Israel in general. Having said that, I think they were smart to give up the Gaza like they did. Israel gives up Gaza as a show of good faith and in gratitude hizbollah enters their territory, kills several soldiers and kidnapped others, clearly an unprovoked act of war. Then hizbollah stashes weapons in residential areas amongst women and children or in warehouses where civillians are working before they fire them at Israel, then tries to make Israel the bad guys for blowing them up and killing people.

I think the right to self-defense is absolute and personally, i don't think they should have been forced into a cease fire. And I have come around to Israels way of thinking as far as there is no appeasing terrorists. Their objective is not to live in peace but to destroy israel and if they destroy innocent women and children in the process (even their own women and children) they see it as a cost of advancing their cause and justified under their perversion of Islam.

I think what it comes down to is the world is getting smaller all the time and if you can't play in the sandbox with the other kids, you need to have your *** yanked out and beaten. I think whatever Israel needs to do to be left in peace, up to and including lobbing tactical nukes at Syria and Iran, they are completely within their rights.
