Cartoon Network's Adult Swim programming block began airing the show Monday through Thursday on July 10, 2006. After the first week only the "Quiet Village" part of the opening was shown, leaving out the Cyndi Lauper vocal. "Quiet Village" was not part of the first week of broadcasts. Adult Swim has slated to end airings of the show on October 19, 2006.

However, we're talking reruns. The show actually quit production on July 27, 1991, mainly due to Pee-Wee being caught playing with his pee-wee in a porn theater.

As far as production is concerned, I believe they did that many years ago. But they're probably still showing reruns somewhere.
Even though it was a kid's show, I still enjoyed it. I especially liked it when he would come out with that huge pair of underwear (that looked like they would fit an elephant).
