This is gonna be tough on you. Consider this event a lesson for you life. If you are facing homelessness, bankruptcy, then swallow your pride and beg your boss but be prepared to face the humiliation, not just to him (her) but also your co-workers. Besides you would owe your boss a huge favor and he/she gets you where he/she wants. If no financial crisis is imminent, get another job but this incident would look bad on your resume. Employers normally don't want hot-headed confrontational employees who would walk out on a disagreement instead of acting like an adult to sit down and negotiate.

Without more details about what was said and why, I can't help ya out. Personally, being a boss for several years, if you had words with me, and then quit, I wouldn't hire you back. I'd be looking for an employee who would stay around when the going got tough. Not rehire one who's already proven to be a flight risk.

i'm sorry, but its a little late to go crawling back to him. Maybe you would be better off just finding another job.... Or you can send him roses... everyone likes roses.

Go in nicely with an apology and then ask him if he would consider giving you another chance. If he gives you a lecture, take it and don't give him any grief.
