Love that movie! Can't remember any other quirky cultural phenom where going to a movie at midnight with rolls of t.p. and bags of rice became a right of passage. Can't imagine anyone but Tim Curry in the lead. Sorry, Mick.
P.S. For a different kind of quirky, there's always Donnie Darko.

There are quirkier movies--Earth Girls are Easy for example, but I did not know about Jagger wanting to be Dr. Frankenfurt. I think Curry was probably a better choice.
