sometimes a sizure can be a sign of head trauma , low oxygen , imbalance there is like a 1000 reasons why someone might have a seizure , brain bleeding , water on the brain , not enough time to name them all

That is caused by imbalance amount of sodium in the neurons, which transmits those stimulus or impulses to the brain for interpretation. Because there is an imbalance chemical needed for proper transmission, this causes seizures. Seizures itself is not dangerous, however during an episode you could hit your body in things that poses danger to your body and may sometimes cause death (like you're pierced by a sharp object directly to your heart upon falling down in an episode).
