Caucasian came from the from caucasia which can also refer to the region called caucasus.

The Caucasus or Caucasia is a region in Eurasia bordered on the south by Turkey and Iran in Asia, on the west by the Black Sea, on the east by the Caspian Sea, and on the north by Russia. Caucasia includes the Caucasus Mountains and surrounding lowlands.

so people in this region caucasia is known as CAUCASIANS. And caucasians doesn't necessary only apply to "whites" (but what color of skin has to do with it?? Isn't japanese, koreans whites?)

And if you check history books and also anthropology, India is consider part of caucasia... which means indians are also part of caucasians...

Caucasians typically have the lowest degree of projection of the, alveolar bones which contain the teeth, a notable size prominence of the cranium and forehead region, and a projection of the midfacial region. In anthropology skin color is not counted when describing Caucasians because Caucasians can be from pale (e.g. Scandinavia) to very dark brown (e.g. India).

There is a lot of contradiction and confusion with the caucasian terms, and thus you'll have noticed that in movies or generally, they(people in uk, usa) still use the term "whites" rather than caucasian since caucasian can be dark pale skins like scandanavians.

In all, we shouldn't be classifying people in races. We are all created from one God and have the same blood and etc. We are all just humans.

A name for ancestry that goes back to northern areas, mostly the European regions today known as The British Isles and the Scandanavian countries.

Sometimes, southern Europeans claim to be caucasian, but that could be subject of debate.

Many southern Europeans were invaded by North Africans known as Moors, so they have mixed blood even though they may look like caucasians.

The use of the word "white" is misleading.

Caucasians are mostly of a pink color, or blush pigment.

They do blush, which reveals inner emotions, whereas people of darker races hide their emotions very well.

Anthropology. Of or being a major human racial classification traditionally distinguished by physical characteristics such as very light to brown skin pigmentation and straight to wavy or curly hair, and including peoples indigenous to Europe, northern Africa, western Asia, and India. No longer in scientific use. See Usage Note at race1.
