Talk to her mother. You can ask her mother to keep it confidential if you're afraid your friend will get mad at you. Her mother, once she knows your concerns can observe her daughter carefully and then deal with the situation. If worse came to worse and your friend found out that you talked to her mom and got angry then you just have to tell yourself that it's better that you got help for her even if she's mad than to stay quiet and have her possibly ruin her health or die in the long term.

You need to talk to her, I know someone that became anorexic and she ended up in the hospital. You should tell her that is is a serious disease and it has serious risks. There are better ways to loose weight and there are options open for her. If she does not listen to her go to her parents.

Like the other person said, talk to her, talk to her parents. This is a big problem in the world today. Models are soooo skinny and young people want to look like them. Be a good friend to her, stick by her side thru evetything, keep talking to her, give her a shoulder to lean on.

You need to find out for sure, or tell someone - to help her.
Talk to her about it, before you do anything else. Ask her how she's trying to lose weight and why she wants to. Also, ask her how much weight she wants to lose. If any of these answers worry you at all, you need to tell someone. Try her parents, your parents, or someone else you know will get her the help she needs - maybe a school counselor?
Good luck.
